Sara received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes work with seniors, adults, children, families and individuals with special needs. She also has extensive involvement in community organizing and volunteerism. When she’s not working, Sara loves to cook, bake and spend time with her family. Sara has a special place in her heart for the senior population and is thrilled to be a part of the Mid-Island Y JCC family.

As an Israeli who has lived in the United States for the past eighteen years, Yael has developed a keen understanding of the needs of both the Jewish and the Israeli communities on Long Island. Her 10 years of experience as an educator, within these two communities, has greatly formed her philosophy and approach in the education of children, youth and families. Yael holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Tel Aviv University as well as a Master's from Stony Brook University in Engineering Management. Yael served as an officer in the Israeli army for three years, leading an office of several soldiers under her command. Locally, she is a devoted PTA parent and volunteers much of her time to advancing programs for the Jewish/Israeli community on Long Island.
